Let's take it all the way back to 1926 when Mr. Russell created the sweatshirt to be used during football practice instead of a jersey on cold days. The idea was created out of all-cotton jersey. Ring neck to v-neck the reverse weave was created to fight shrinking. The iconic grain of the fabric running sideways instead of vertically, and includes side panels is a favorite of many collectors. Once you score one of these vintage Hanes, Champion you will forget about your fashion fashion hoodie. A sweatshirt is a stable in any closet. This collection goes all the way back to the 1920's they are aged and there is no question of their time period. Champion started as a work wear company in the 1930's the hoodie term was latter popularized in the 70's.
